## Description

The position will play a key role in strengthening operational excellence, PMO effectiveness, continuous improvement and organisational capability across a large-scale project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO.

• Support the development, implementation and enhancement of project management processes, procedures and governance.

• Drive improvements across engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and project start-up/set-up activities.

• Assess existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and delivery effectiveness.

• Support PMO establishment, development and ongoing operational effectiveness.

• Lead capacity-building and talent-development initiatives to strengthen organisational capability.

• Work closely with senior management and multidisciplinary teams to implement transformation initiatives.

• Provide management, supervisory and personnel administration support within the transformation function.

• Promote best practices and ensure transformation initiatives are embedded across the organisation.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.

• Minimum 20 years of experience within a project management environment on large-scale projects.

• Demonstrated experience in setting up, managing and/or running a PMO.

• Thorough knowledge and practical experience of professional project management processes and procedures.

• Strong working knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and project start-up/set-up processes.

• Proven involvement in continuous improvement, capacity building and talent development.

• Demonstrated management, supervisory and personnel administration capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working within major infrastructure, utilities, engineering or complex PMO programmes would be highly advantageous
