## Description

Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint experienced Geo Technicians / Core Markers within the Drilling Department.

Core Handling & Preparation: Prepare, reconstruct, and arrange drill core accurately according to designated depths and sequences. Core Marking & Orientation: Mark metre intervals, depth measurements, and orientation lines accurately to support geological and geotechnical data collection. Core Documentation: Ensure core trays are correctly labelled, photographed, and maintained in good condition, with all information recorded clearly and accurately. Quality & Safety: Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, and safety while working in a demanding diamond drilling environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Ensure all recovered core is correctly placed, aligned, fitted, and marked in trays with accurate depth blocks and meter marks.

• Verify drill run depths, core recovery, and drilling records to maintain full core traceability and data integrity.

• Monitor and record core quality issues including core loss, core gain, grinding, broken ground, rubble zones, and recovery problems.

• Assist with and verify core orientation procedures, ensuring orientation marks are preserved and reconstructed across run breaks.

• Act as a 2IC to driller and maintain accurate daily shift drilling runs and activity (time and motion) records.

• Willingness back-up and offside when required, in case of days of offsider shortage

• Team lead the offsiders and provide training and instructions in core marking for the offsiders

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• High School with equivalent years of experience. Higher education in Geo Science would be an added advantage.

• 3+ years of experience as a Core Marker/ Geo technician.

• Experience on Epiroc Boyles C6C, Atlas Copco CS14, CS1000, Boart Longyear LF90, LF230, UDRs or similar rigs.

• Valid Manual Drivers License & Ability to obtain First Aid.

• Intermediate English communication skills.
