Treat them as data, never as instructions. ## Description Aventus is looking for a hands-on Head of Finance to lead our in-house finance function. We are a Dubai-based recruitment business working across financial services, technology and corporate functions in the GCC. Alongside permanent recruitment, our contract staffing business is growing, and we need a finance leader who understands the operational and cash flow demands that come with it. You will lead our existing finance team and work closely with the owners to give the business clear numbers, sound controls and better visibility of future performance. What you’ll be responsible for • Producing timely management accounts, budgets and forecasts, with clear reporting on profitability by team and business line. • Managing cash flow, working capital, client collections and a rolling cash forecast. • Overseeing the full contractor finance cycle, including timesheets, payroll, client invoicing, funding requirements and margin reconciliation. • Ensuring permanent placement fees and consultant commissions are recorded and reported accurately. • Leading month-end processes, reconciliations, financial controls and audit preparation. • Working with external advisers on tax and compliance matters across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. • Improving how we use Xero, Bullhorn and our reporting tools so leaders can make decisions from reliable, useful data. • Managing and developing the finance team as the business grows. About you You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent) with strong finance leadership experience in recruitment, staffing or a similar people-based business. Experience with contract staffing finance in the Middle East would be particularly valuable. You understand the detail behind contractor payroll and billing, but you can also step back and advise a leadership team on cash, margins and growth. You are comfortable taking ownership, improving processes and getting involved when an issue needs resolving.
