## Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, cost

control, and investment decision-making within our mining operations. The ideal

candidate will analyze production costs, budgets, and capital expenditures to

provide insights that drive profitability and support strategic

decision-making. Strong financial analysis skills and a minimum of 5 years of

relevant experience are essential; prior exposure to the mining industry is

beneficial but not required, as on-the-job orientation will be provided.

• Designing and maintaining financial models and reporting systems; identifying and correcting errors in financial data.

• Gathering financial and operational data from primary sources (site production reports, procurement systems, ERP) and secondary sources (market reports, regulatory

filings).

• Analyzing operational costs and key financial KPIs to evaluate efficiency and profitability.

• Building financial models to forecast costs, revenues, capital expenditure needs, and cash flow projections.

• Demonstrating the significance of financial trends in the context of broader market and economic conditions affecting the organization.

• Preparing budget variance reports, forecasts, and financial presentations for executive leadership and site management.

• Supporting capital project evaluations through NPV, IRR, and payback period analysis.

• Creating clear documentation of financial models and assumptions so analyses can be

reviewed, audited, or replicated.

• Cleaning and reconciling financial data across departments, cost centers, and reporting

periods to ensure accuracy.

• Generating insights on cost drivers, margin trends, and risk exposure.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, macros)

• Proficiency with ERP/financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

• Knowledge of capital budgeting techniques (NPV, IRR, payback period, sensitivity analysis)

• Proficiency with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) for financial dashboards

• Basic familiarity with the mining industry (cost structures, commodity price exposure) is an advantage but not essential .

Analytical & Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Comfortable collaborating across departments and functions

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines (monthly close, budgeting cycles, project

evaluations)

• Willingness and ability to quickly learn mining-specific operational and financial concepts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA a

plus)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data/financial analysis (industry-agnostic experience

welcome)

• Prior exposure to mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry is a plus, but not
