## Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to maintain, support, and enhance established enterprise web applications in a business-critical environment.

The role combines hands-on development, production support, incident resolution, controlled releases, and knowledge transfer, with a strong focus on maintaining stability across legacy and existing Java applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, maintain, and enhance enterprise Java web applications built using Struts, JSF, PrimeFaces, JSP, and Servlets.

• Investigate incidents and defects across application, database, integration, and deployment layers.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document technical findings, fixes, and preventive actions.

• Develop and implement application enhancements while assessing dependencies and regression risks.

• Coordinate testing, deployment, release validation, and post-release verification.

• Write, troubleshoot, and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

• Investigate database-related issues, data inconsistencies, and query performance problems.

• Maintain reporting solutions using JasperReports / Jasper Studio.

• Support and troubleshoot REST APIs and integrations using JSON and XML.

• Deploy and support Java applications on Oracle WebLogic and Tomcat.

• Troubleshoot application-server configuration, logs, startup, runtime, and deployment issues.

• Provide production support during critical operating periods.

• Coordinate with QA, Database, Infrastructure, Security, and Functional teams.

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and application knowledge.

• Support knowledge transfer and validate source code, repositories, system access, and application dependencies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and supporting Java enterprise web applications.

• Significant experience supporting legacy and production-critical Java applications.

• Strong hands-on expertise in:

• Java 8 / JDK 8

• Object-Oriented Programming

• MVC Architecture

• JSP & Servlets

• JavaScript & AJAX

• Practical experience maintaining:

• Struts 1.1

• JSF 2.2

• PrimeFaces 5.5

• Strong experience with Oracle Database 19c, including complex SQL queries, transactions, optimization, troubleshooting, and PL/SQL.

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining JasperReports using Jasper Studio.

• Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic 14 and Tomcat, including deployment, configuration, logging, and production troubleshooting.

• Experience maintaining REST APIs and integrations using JSON and XML.

• Experience with Git or CVSNT, including repositories, branching, merging, and release version management.

• Strong ability to understand complex existing business logic and implement compatible changes safely.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Eclipse and NetBeans for Java application development and debugging.

• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.

• Experience with Oracle ADF and JSTL.

• Experience deploying or troubleshooting applications on JBoss or GlassFish.

• Experience with high-volume enterprise applications and performance optimization.

• Knowledge of secure coding and automated testing practices.

• Exposure to application modernization and legacy system transformation.

• Experience mentoring developers or leading application knowledge-transfer activities.
