## Description

Lead the development and execution of the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment between business objectives, digital transformation initiatives, and technology investments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise-wide architecture, technology governance, application modernization, cloud transformation, and strategic roadmap planning across complex business environments.

The Enterprise Architect will define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, principles, and target-state architectures across business, application, data, integration, security, and technology domains. Working closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, solution architects, and IT teams, the role will drive architectural consistency, technology standardization, and long-term scalability across the organization.

Key responsibilities include evaluating emerging technologies, guiding enterprise-wide technology decisions, overseeing cloud adoption strategies (AWS/Azure), and ensuring architecture compliance with security, risk, and governance requirements. The role will establish reference architectures and best practices for API management, microservices, integration platforms, containerization, infrastructure automation, and enterprise data management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in enterprise architecture, system integration, cloud-native technologies, and large-scale transformation programs. Experience with technologies such as webMethods, Kubernetes, AWS S3, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis, Java Spring Boot, .NET Core, Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform is highly desirable. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or Zachman is preferred.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills are essential to influence strategic technology decisions, chair architecture review boards, mentor architecture teams, and effectively present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the organization's Enterprise Architecture vision, strategy, and technology roadmap.

• Establish enterprise architecture standards, principles, governance processes, and reference architectures.

• Ensure alignment between business strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and technology investments.

• Lead architecture reviews and provide governance oversight across major programs and projects.

• Drive cloud transformation and modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption opportunities.

• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to optimize application, data, and infrastructure portfolios.

• Promote enterprise-wide integration, API, security, and data architecture best practices.

• Guide Solution Architects and technical teams to ensure architectural consistency and compliance.

• Support risk management, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and business continuity requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in Enterprise Architecture.

• TOGAF Certification preferred.

• Experience in enterprise technology governance and architecture review boards.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, integration architecture, data architecture, and security architecture.

• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or large enterprise environments is highly desirable.

This version positions the role at a strategic, enterprise-wide level, which is the key distinction between an Enterprise Architect and a Solution Architect.
