About the role

Position Title: Consultant-Strategic Collaboration

Work Location: Kuwait

Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company.

Job Responsibilities

• Advise on strategic collaborations and partnership opportunities in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector, including commercial structuring and contracting approaches.

• Translate strategic E&P objectives into executable projects by coordinating with multidisciplinary technical, commercial, legal, and other stakeholders.

• Assess the required technical capabilities, staffing, facilities, and resources for strategic E&P projects.

• Conduct petroleum economic evaluations and provide technical and commercial input to support management decision-making.

• Advise on project budgets, technical requirements, specifications, scope, and execution programs.

• Define and develop strategic E&P project scopes and programs in coordination with planning and relevant stakeholders.

• Assess the technical and commercial viability of E&P opportunities and identify potential development opportunities.

• Support management in resolving complex technical and commercial challenges during project execution.

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams comprising geoscientists, engineers, and other technical professionals.

• Evaluate technical and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Monitor global E&P industry trends, partnership models, contracting methodologies, and emerging opportunities to support strategic initiatives.

• Contribute to strategic planning and provide expert guidance on complex Upstream projects and programs.

Qualification Requirements

• Postgraduate degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 20 years of professional Upstream Oil & Gas experience, with substantial experience in E&P activities.

• Extensive experience in developing, scoping, planning, and managing complex E&P projects and programs.

• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams of geoscientists, engineers, and technical professionals.

• Strong experience in petroleum economics, commercial evaluation, project structuring, and technical-commercial risk assessment.

• Knowledge of E&P fiscal regimes and commercial frameworks, with the ability to identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks.

• Demonstrated experience working with major international E&P companies and stakeholders.

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide high-level technical and commercial advice in complex project environments.

• International Upstream experience is preferred.
