Role Description: Pre Contract Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: • Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other project drawings, specifications, and tender documents. • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with project requirements. • Analyze drawings and identify discrepancies, omissions, scope gaps, and potential cost implications. • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and specialist contractors. • Prepare tender documents, pricing schedules, BOQs, and commercial enquiries. • Issue and manage tender enquiries and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers during the tender period. • Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations, including commercial and technical comparisons. • Prepare tender comparison statements and provide recommendations based on commercial analysis. • Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements. • Prepare cost plans and update estimates based on design development and revisions. • Monitor changes in project scope and assess their cost impact during the pre-contract stage. • Review contractual requirements, preliminaries, specifications, exclusions, and commercial conditions. • Maintain and update cost databases, historical project rates, and benchmarking information. • Ensure all estimates, BOQs, tender documents, and commercial submissions are prepared accurately and within agreed deadlines. • Post tender analytical/ Value engineering proposal. • Prepare the different report to commercial department like Resource report, Materials wastage report, Total Manhours Reports. • Labour productivity to be analyzed and incorporated in the budget cost. • Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts. • Prepare bill of quantities in line with POMI guidelines • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Requirements: • BE or B.Sc. Civil Engineering • Min: 10-15 years of experience in Pre & Post Contract Experience • Computer and Software Proficiency -AutoCAD, Plan swift • Functional Pre-Requisites Skills-ability to read and interpret technical documents.
