Candidates should have substantial hands-on experience with tablet, capsule or oral-solid manufacturing processes, preferably including granulation, blending, milling, compression, coating or process troubleshooting.

We are looking for a pharmaceutical scientist or engineer who understands how material properties, formulation parameters, equipment settings and manufacturing conditions interact throughout the oral-solid production process.

Palomba General Trading LLC is looking for a Pharmaceutical Oral Solid Dosage Process Scientist to support technically demanding pharmaceutical manufacturing projects in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

The role will focus on the industrial processing of tablets, capsules, powders and granules, with particular attention to process robustness, equipment performance and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will work across formulation, manufacturing, engineering and technical project teams to improve product consistency and manufacturing performance.

The role may involve both existing production lines and new manufacturing projects.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

• Evaluate oral-solid manufacturing processes from raw-material preparation through finished dosage form.

• Support optimisation of powder blending.

• Evaluate granulation processes.

• Review wet and dry granulation parameters.

• Support milling and particle-size-control activities.

• Analyse powder flow and blend uniformity.

• Review lubricant addition and final blending.

• Support tablet-compression optimisation.

• Analyse compression-force requirements.

• Investigate tablet-weight variability.

• Evaluate hardness and friability issues.

• Support capsule-filling processes where applicable.

• Review coating-process parameters.

• Support troubleshooting of coating defects.

• Evaluate process yield and product loss.

• Investigate segregation during transfer.

• Analyse batch-to-batch variability.

• Support scale-up and process-transfer activities.

• Review process parameters during pilot and commercial batches.

• Support manufacturing trials.

• Participate in root-cause investigations.

• Work with engineering teams where equipment performance contributes to manufacturing problems.
