Job Description: A) Role Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 1- Scientific Leadership & Medical Expertise: • Serve as the scientific and medical expert for the assigned therapeutic area. • Maintain deep understanding of disease areas, treatment paradigms, clinical evidence, healthcare landscape, and emerging scientific developments. • Critically evaluate scientific literature, clinical data, and real-world evidence to support medical decision-making. • Provide scientific expertise and medical guidance to internal and external stakeholders. 2- Scientific Exchange & External Stakeholder Engagement: • Establish, develop, and maintain credible, compliant, and long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, academic institutions, scientific societies, and other relevant external stakeholders. • Lead high-quality scientific exchange activities and communicate complex medical information in a balanced, accurate, and compliant manner. • Identify emerging scientific trends, unmet medical needs, and evolving stakeholder perspectives within the therapeutic area. • Represent Takeda at scientific congresses, medical meetings, advisory boards, and other scientific engagement activities. 3- Medical Insights Generation: • Gather, analyse and communicate actionable medical insights from external stakeholders, scientific interactions, and healthcare environments. • Translate medical insights into meaningful recommendations to support therapeutic area priorities, evidence generation plans, patient-focused initiatives, and business decision-making. • Proactively identify scientific gaps, educational needs, and opportunities to improve patient care. 4- Evidence Generation & Medical Projects: • Support development and execution of evidence generation activities, including investigator-sponsored studies, real-world evidence initiatives, medical research collaborations, and scientific projects. • Contribute medical expertise to study planning, execution, interpretation, and communication of scientific outcomes. • Identify opportunities to generate meaningful scientific evidence addressing unmet patient needs. 5- Medical Education & Capability Building: • Develop and deliver scientific training and educational programs for internal stakeholders. • Support capability building initiatives by providing therapeutic area expertise and scientific updates. • Act as a medical resource for cross-functional teams and contribute to enhancing scientific knowledge across the organization. 6- Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Partner closely with Therapy Area Leads, Medical Excellence, Medical Affairs teams, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, Patient Services, and other relevant stakeholders. • Contribute medical expertise to cross-functional initiatives while ensuring alignment with medical and scientific priorities. • Support launch readiness, lifecycle management activities, and patient-focused initiatives through scientific input and collaboration. 7- Patient & Healthcare Ecosystem Understanding: • Maintain strong understanding of patient journeys, healthcare systems, treatment pathways, and evolving clinical practice. • Spend significant time engaging with healthcare stakeholders to better understand real-world clinical challenges and opportunities. • Use healthcare ecosystem insights to support scientific priorities and improve patient outcomes. 8- Digital Innovation & Data Utilization: • Leverage scientific data, digital tools, and innovative approaches to enhance stakeholder engagement and medical impact. • Utilize data-driven insights to support evidence-based decision-making and identify emerging opportunities. 9- Compliance, Ethics & Medical Governance: • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, Takeda policies, and medical governance standards. • Maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity, ethics, and patient focus. • Proactively identify and escalate compliance, quality, or ethical concerns through appropriate channels. B) Role Mandatory Responsibilities: • Adhere to Takeda’s Information Security and Technology Use policies. • Serve as a Quality Ambassador by promptly reporting any product-related concerns to the Quality team. • Uphold integrity and ethical conduct in alignment with Takeda’s values (Takeda-ism). • Complete all mandatory trainings and ensure team compliance with relevant policies and procedures. • Lead by example in the accurate and timely use of company systems (e.g., Concur, Dakika, Bloom), fostering process discipline across the team. • Proactively raise compliance or ethical concerns through appropriate Takeda reporting channels. C) Role required Qualifications & Capabilities: Qualifications: • University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline. • 3–5 years of relevant Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor, Clinical Development, or a related medical role. • Strong scientific knowledge and relevant experience in Psoriasis and/or Dermatology. • Experience within Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC healthcare environment is preferred; prior experience in Psoriasis within the GCC is highly preferred. • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage medical priorities, and effectively engage key external experts and cross-functional stakeholders. • Experience in pre-launch and/or launch Medical Affairs activities is ## Requirements Qualifications: University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline. 3–5 years of relevant Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor, Clinical Development, or a related medical role. Strong scientific knowledge and relevant experience in Psoriasis and/or Dermatology. Experience within Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC healthcare environment is preferred; prior experience in Psoriasis within the GCC is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage medical priorities, and effectively engage key external experts and cross-functional stakeholders.
