About the Role

AIVI is looking for an Assistant Product Manager to help build and scale AI-powered products and features across the platform, while also managing payments. You will work closely with engineering, data science, design, finance, and operations teams to define requirements, ship AI-driven capabilities, and ensure payments run accurately and smoothly.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with AI/ML capabilities to build innovative product features, and who is also comfortable managing payments-related requirements and processes.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Own the definition and delivery of AI-powered products and features end-to-end, working with data science and engineering to translate AI/ML capabilities into usable product functionality.

• Own product requirements for customer payments and checkout, including payment gateway integrations, transaction processing, and dispute handling.

• Write clear, well-scoped PRDs and user stories, and manage backlog prioritisation in collaboration with senior product managers.

• Partner with engineering on agile delivery cycles — sprint planning, grooming, testing, and release sign-off.

• Analyse checkout and payments data to identify automation opportunities, reduce manual effort, and improve conversion at checkout.

• Monitor product performance and AI feature adoption using analytics tools, and translate findings into iteration plans.

• Coordinate with finance, operations, compliance, and customer support teams to ensure customer payment processes meet business and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in QA, UAT, and go-live activities for new AI and payments features.

Qualification & Experience:

• 2–4 years of product management experience, with exposure to AI-powered products or features.

• Experience working on customer-facing payment systems or checkout workflows (e.g., payment gateways, cards, wallets, COD).

• Understanding of core e-commerce payment concepts: checkout flow, payment gateways, transaction processing, chargebacks, and disputes.

• Familiarity with AI/ML product concepts (e.g., model outputs, automation, anomaly detection) sufficient to collaborate effectively with data science and engineering teams.

• Skilled in writing PRDs and user stories, and running agile delivery (Jira/Confluence or similar).

• Comfortable working with data — SQL or Excel-based analysis to investigate data discrepancies or feature performance.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across product, engineering, finance, and operations.

• Experience in e-commerce product management is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in fintech, payments, or financial operations.

• Exposure to AI/LLM-powered product features (chatbots, automation, fraud/anomaly detection, etc.).

• Knowledge of regional payment gateways and methods (cards, wallets, BNPL, bank transfers) in the GCC.

• Experience with analytics tools such as GA4, Tableau, or Power BI.
