Job Description – Operations Manager – Logistics

Position: Operations Manager – Logistics

Location: Dubai, UAE

Industry: Logistics / Transportation

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily logistics and transportation operations.

• Plan and coordinate deliveries, shipments, fleet movements, and schedules.

• Manage drivers, warehouse staff, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.

• Monitor delivery timelines, route planning, and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, transporters, and internal departments.

• Track shipments and resolve delivery, transportation, and operational issues promptly.

• Ensure proper documentation for shipments, deliveries, and vehicle operations.

• Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with UAE transportation, safety, and logistics regulations.

• Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management.

• Handle customer escalations and ensure high service-quality standards.

• Develop and implement processes to improve productivity and reduce delays.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, fleet, or operations management.

• Previous experience managing logistics teams and daily operations.

• Strong knowledge of UAE logistics and transportation processes.

• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.

• Good knowledge of MS Office and logistics/ERP systems.

• UAE driving licence is preferred.

• Candidates with UAE/GCC experience will be preferred.
