Job Purpose:

The Competent Civil Engineer provides technical and engineering support for civil project activities, ensuring that civil works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, applicable standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret civil drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.

• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities at project sites.

• Ensure civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with Project Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.

• Prepare and review technical submissions, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.

• Monitor the quality and progress of civil works and report any technical issues or delays.

• Assist in resolving technical problems and provide appropriate engineering solutions.

• Ensure construction activities comply with relevant codes, standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.

• Monitor excavation, foundations, concrete works, structural works, roads, drainage, and other civil activities as applicable.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and relevant authorities.

• Monitor the use and quality of construction materials and ensure compliance with approved specifications.

• Support project documentation, including as-built drawings, inspection records, test reports, and handover documents.

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.

• Attend technical and progress meetings as required.

• Provide technical guidance to supervisors, technicians, and site personnel

You're a great fit if you have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineer or Construction Engineering

• 5-8 years' of relevant experience in construction projects

• PMP certification is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
