Role Description We are looking for a talented and experienced Architect (Design) to join our architectural consultancy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectural projects from initial concept design through detailed design and authority approval, for both new-build and extension projects. This is a full-time, on-site Architect role located in Dubai. The role requires strong knowledge of UAE building regulations, authority requirements, and submission procedures, along with the ability to independently manage design deliverables and coordinate with consultants and authorities. Responsibilities include producing architectural designs, integrating technical and structural components, managing projects to meet deadlines, and collaborating with contractors to ensure the successful execution of projects. Key Responsibilities: • Develop architectural designs from concept stage through detailed design and construction documentation. • Prepare complete architectural design packages for new construction, renovation, extension, and alteration projects. • Translate client requirements and project briefs into practical, creative, and technically compliant architectural solutions. • Prepare architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, layouts, schedules, and details in accordance with project requirements. • Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, civil, and other specialist consultants. • Manage design coordination and resolve technical and architectural issues during project development. • Prepare and submit drawings/documents to relevant UAE authorities and coordinate the approval process. • Respond to authority comments and revise drawings/documentation as required to obtain approvals. • Ensure all designs comply with applicable UAE codes, regulations, planning requirements, and authority guidelines. • Review existing buildings and site conditions and incorporate findings into extension, renovation, and alteration designs. • Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and authority discussions when required. • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they are completed on time, accurately, and to the required quality standards. • Maintain proper documentation and revision control throughout the design process. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university. • 7-10 years of professional architectural experience, with significant experience in the UAE. • Proven experience working within an architectural/engineering consultancy environment. • Strong experience in delivering projects from concept design to detailed design and authority approval. • Hands-on experience with UAE authority submissions and approvals. • Good understanding of the requirements and procedures of relevant UAE authorities. • Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, planning requirements, and design standards. • Working knowledge of: • Dubai Building Code 2021 (DBC 21) • Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) requirements • Abu Dhabi International Building Code (ADIBC) • Relevant municipality and authority regulations and guidelines • Experience with new-build, extension, renovation, and alteration projects is highly desirable. • UAE driving license is an advantage. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3DsMax, and other 3D rendering software is essential.
