Job Description – Procurement Engineer (HVAC)

Position: Procurement Engineer – HVAC

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer (HVAC) to manage the sourcing, procurement, and subcontracting of HVAC materials, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for vendor management, commercial negotiations, supplier evaluation, and ensuring timely procurement to support project execution while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of HVAC materials, equipment, and subcontracting services for ongoing projects.

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential suppliers and subcontractors.

• Obtain and analyze quotations, negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules.

• Prepare comparison statements and procurement recommendations for management approval.

• Coordinate with engineering, project, and estimation teams to ensure procurement requirements are met.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, budgets, and company policies.

• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and contract compliance.

• Prepare purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and procurement documentation.

• Resolve supply chain issues and ensure timely delivery of materials and services to project sites.

• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.

• Maintain procurement reports, records, and supplier databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 3-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the HVAC or MEP industry.

• Strong experience in sourcing HVAC equipment, materials, and subcontracting services.

• Good understanding of HVAC systems and related technical specifications.

• Strong vendor management, supplier evaluation, and negotiation skills.

• Experience in preparing RFQs, bid evaluations, comparison sheets, and purchase orders.

• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/Procurement systems.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCC procurement experience within HVAC or MEP contracting companies.

• Established network of HVAC suppliers and subcontractors.

• Knowledge of commercial and contractual procurement processes.
