This is a highly strategic executive appointment requiring significant procurement leadership experience gained within heavy industry, energy, utilities, oil & gas, infrastructure or a similarly complex, asset-intensive environment. The successful individual will take ownership of a broad procurement portfolio, shaping procurement strategy, leading major negotiations, strategic sourcing and tendering activity, while driving value, cost efficiencies and long-term supplier performance. The role will also involve significant engagement with senior stakeholders across the organisation and leadership of a high-performing procurement team. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver long-term procurement strategies aligned to wider business objectives. • Lead major commercial negotiations and complex, high-value contract awards. • Oversee strategic sourcing and end-to-end RFx processes. • Drive supplier relationship and performance management. • Ensure procurement activity meets appropriate governance, policy and approval requirements. • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities and deliver value. • Use market intelligence, benchmarking and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making. • Lead and develop the procurement function, driving capability and continuous improvement. This position requires an established procurement leader with the experience and credibility to operate at executive level within a large, complex organisation.
