Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting management with financial reporting and analysis.

This role is ideal for a proactive accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns and support tax compliance activities.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete.

• Monitor cash flow and treasury-related activities.

• Identify process improvements and strengthen financial controls.

• Knowledge of PIB Return is plus point

• Knowledge of DFSA Rulebooks is plus point.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within financial services, insurance, reinsurance, or a regulated environment.

• Experience using accounting and ERP systems.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred Experience

• UAE/GCC accounting experience.

• Exposure to regulatory reporting and audit processes.

• Understanding of VAT and corporate tax requirements in the UAE.
