Accountant

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a minimum of 8 years’ experience, preferably in a family-owned business. The candidate will handle daily accounting, payroll, overtime calculations, petty cash, supplier payments, retail transactions, AP/AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and UAE VAT compliance.

Key Responsibilities·

• Manage daily accounting records and transactions.

• Process monthly payroll, salaries, deductions, and overtime calculations.

• Reconcile payroll with attendance, timesheets, and approved overtime.

• Manage petty cash, supplier payments, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.

• Record and reconcile retail sales and cash collections.

• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.

• Ensure UAE VAT compliance·

• Monitor expenses, cash flow, and financial controls.

• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, HR, and management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience.· Family business experience is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of payroll, overtime, AP/AR, petty cash, bank reconciliation, and VAT.·

• Proficiency in accounting/ERP software and advanced Excel.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred: Experience in retail, trading, FMCG, hospitality, or family-owned groups. ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
