## Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant – Reconciliations

Location: Dubai, UAE

Duration: 3–6 months, with possible extension based on project confirmation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant – Reconciliations to provide operational support for the Recon Hub and assist with the implementation of ARCS. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and well-controlled reconciliation of assigned Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) accounts, while identifying discrepancies, supporting resolution, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end reconciliation of assigned GL and AR accounts, including:

• Accounts Receivable control accounts

• Clearing accounts

• Accrual accounts

• Review reconciliation results and identify discrepancies, exceptions, and unusual transactions.

• Analyse high-volume transactional data to determine the root causes of mismatches.

• Coordinate with Business, Treasury, Cash Application, GL, and Finance teams to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues.

• Prepare and maintain reconciliation dashboards, KPI reports, and management summaries.

• Highlight key financial risks, outstanding items, exceptions, and reconciliation issues to relevant stakeholders.

• Provide operational support to the Recon Hub and contribute to ARCS implementation activities.

• Ensure reconciliation activities comply with established accounting policies, financial controls, and close processes.

• Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and process improvement.

• Support the implementation of improved reconciliation processes and controls.

• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for reconciliation activities.

• Ensure assigned reconciliations are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred.

• Relevant experience in accounting, financial reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, or financial close operations.

• Strong practical understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation methodologies, and financial controls.

• Experience working with high-volume financial and transactional data.

• Proven ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes of reconciliation breaks.

• Experience working with ERP/accounting platforms such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, or Yardi.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.

• Familiarity with relevant analytical and AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
