## Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Dubai and take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and financial record-keeping of the business.

The role will involve maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, recording daily financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, payments and receipts, performing bank and account reconciliations, maintaining supporting documentation, and assisting with monthly and year-end closing activities.

The Accountant will also be responsible for preparing VAT records and supporting VAT filings, maintaining proper accounting documentation for audit and tax purposes, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports and schedules.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working with ERP/accounting systems and have strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly preferred, while experience with other ERP or accounting platforms will also be considered.

The role requires a detail-oriented, organized and responsible individual who can ensure that accounting records are maintained accurately and on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping and accounting entries

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Sales and purchase invoice processing

• Payment and receipt entries

• Bank and account reconciliations

• Expense recording and allocation

• Maintenance of customer and supplier ledgers

• VAT record preparation and support with VAT filing

• Assistance with month-end and year-end closing

• Preparation of accounting schedules and reports

• Maintaining complete supporting documentation for transactions

• Supporting external auditors and tax advisers when required

• Ensuring accounting records remain accurate and up to date

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Previous accounting experience in the UAE preferred

• Good knowledge of accounting principles

• Understanding of UAE VAT requirements

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with ERP/accounting software

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is a strong advantage

• Good attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills
