Head of Software Development

Retail and E-Commerce Technology

Kuwait - ON SITE

Permanent position

We are looking for a Head of Software Development to join a retail organization in Kuwait and play a key role in the development and evolution of their customer-facing digital platforms, including their website and mobile applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineering professional who enjoys remaining hands-on with coding while leading a high-performing team of developers.

The role:

• Hands-on with significant time spent coding and contributing to core product codebases

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of technical staff

• Design, develop, and enhance customer-facing web and mobile applications (search engines, apple pay etc.)

• Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement

• Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines

• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

Technical:

• Strong experience building and scaling web applications and mobile-enabled platforms

• Laravel / PHP

• RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture

• JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar) and Flutter

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services

Education:

• Must have at least a Bachelors degree to apply for this role

## Requirements

Bachelor's degree required to apply. Hands-on software development experience with leadership of a cross-functional team. Experience designing, developing, and deploying customer-facing web and mobile applications. Proficiency with Laravel/PHP, RESTful APIs and microservices, JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar) and Flutter, and strong experience with AWS cloud services.
