The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience with UAE VAT regulations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Bookkeeping • Manage full-cycle accounting activities: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger entries. • Reconcile daily point-of-sale (POS) retail transactions, online payment gateways, credit card settlements, and bank accounts. • Process vendor payments, supplier invoices, customs duty charges, and import shipping documentation. • Manage monthly payroll execution in accordance with the UAE Wages Protection System (WPS). Inventory & Cost Accounting • Calculate landed costs for imported gym equipment (freight, customs, local transport, handling fees). • Perform regular stock reconciliations between physical warehouse counts and the accounting/ERP system. • Monitor inventory valuation, write-offs, cost of goods sold (COGS), and gross margin accuracy across product lines. Tax Compliance & Reporting • Prepare and submit quarterly UAE VAT returns in strict compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines. • Maintain complete audit trails and records for UAE Corporate Tax compliance. • Generate monthly profit & loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and aging reports for management review. Key Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
