Senior Finance Accountant – SAP HANA / SAP S/4HANA

Location: UAE

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Accountant with strong expertise in financial accounting, management reporting, and SAP HANA / SAP S/4HANA (FI/CO). The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, analyzing financial performance, and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.

• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Prepare and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budget vs. Actual, and variance reports.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.

• Monitor financial performance, expenses, and cash flow.

• Review accounting entries, invoices, payments, and supporting documentation.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in SAP HANA / SAP S/4HANA.

• Generate and analyze financial reports through SAP.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, company accounting policies, and applicable UAE VAT requirements.

• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

• Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned.

SAP HANA / SAP S/4HANA – FI/CO

• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA / SAP S/4HANA – Finance (FI/CO).

• Process and review financial transactions and accounting entries in SAP.

• Perform reconciliations and resolve posting discrepancies.

• Generate and analyze financial and management reports using SAP.

• Support financial data accuracy, reporting, and system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.

• Strong experience in financial accounting and management reporting.

• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA / SAP S/4HANA, preferably FI/CO.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• UAE accounting and VAT experience will be an advantage.

• ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
