For our site office in Dubai, we are looking for Senior Architect - 100% (m/f) The Ideal Candidate will be an experienced architectural professional with strong capability in architectural design review, technical coordination, and construction-stage delivery of large-scale and complex building projects, with proven experience on major airport or aviation developments. The candidate should have a strong understanding of architectural detailing, finishes, facades, building envelopes, and multidisciplinary coordination, and should be confident reviewing technical submissions, identifying design and interface issues, and working closely with contractors, consultants, specialist subcontractors, BIM teams, and project stakeholders to develop practical and technically sound solutions. Responsibilities: • Lead the architectural review and technical coordination of assigned buildings and architectural work packages. • Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions for compliance with design intent, specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements. • Review and coordinate architectural works including facades and building envelopes, partitions, doors, ceilings, flooring, glazing, waterproofing, interior finishes, and specialist architectural packages. • Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, MEP, civil, fire and life safety, BIM, and specialist systems. • Identify design discrepancies, constructability concerns, missing information, and interdisciplinary interface issues, supporting the preparation and closure of RFIs and technical queries. • Review architectural material submittals, samples, mock-ups, method statements, and specialist subcontractor submissions. • Coordinate consultant comments and support timely resolution, resubmission, and approval of architectural deliverables. • Participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and model reviews to identify and resolve architectural interfaces and clashes. • Provide technical input on construction sequencing, installation requirements, inspection readiness, and multidisciplinary coordination matters. • Support the resolution of architectural site issues, NCRs, design clarifications, and coordination matters in a practical and technically sound manner. • Participate in technical meetings and coordinate professionally with contractors, consultants, subcontractors, designers, and project stakeholders. • Support the review of as-built documentation, handover records, and architectural close-out deliverables. Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, design review, technical coordination, or construction-stage architectural delivery. • Proven experience in the delivery of major airport or aviation projects is mandatory. • Strong technical knowledge of architectural detailing, finishes, facades, building envelopes, interior works, and construction-stage coordination. • Experience reviewing architectural shop drawings, IFC drawings, material submittals, samples, mock-ups, method statements, and technical documentation on large-scale projects. • Good knowledge of applicable international building codes, fire and life safety requirements, accessibility requirements, architectural standards, and project specifications. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and good working knowledge of Revit and BIM-based coordination workflows. • Familiarity with Common Data Environment platforms such as Aconex, ACC, or equivalent is an advantage. • Strong multidisciplinary coordination, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, specialist subcontractors, and multidisciplinary design and construction teams. • Middle East project experience is an advantage. • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage. • Knowledge of local and international codes and standards such as the Dubai Building Code, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and NFPA 415. • Knowledge of terminal-specific systems, including BHS (Baggage Handling System), security screening equipment integration and wayfinding/signage systems.
