Job Description

Morgan Consulting Engineers are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect with a strong background in healthcare design to join our dynamic team in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in architectural design, project management, and leadership roles, with substantial experience in healthcare facilities. The Senior Architect will be instrumental in overseeing the architectural design process for healthcare projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers, ensuring that all designs align with best practices in healthcare architecture and patient care.

• Work closely with healthcare clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, presenting innovative design solutions that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.

• Ensure all healthcare designs comply with local healthcare regulations, building codes, and accreditation standards, including healthcare-specific guidelines.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, engineers, and consultants, to develop integrated design solutions that address complex healthcare challenges.

• Incorporate evidence-based design principles into healthcare projects, utilizing research and best practices to create environments that promote healing, safety, and wellbeing.

• Conduct thorough site analysis and planning for healthcare facilities, considering factors such as accessibility, zoning, and environmental impact, to inform the design process.

• Oversee the construction phase of healthcare projects, ensuring that the design intent is maintained and that any issues are promptly addressed through effective communication with contractors.

• Collaborate with project management to develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality healthcare facilities.

• Establish and implement quality control processes to ensure that all architectural documentation meets the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

• Advocate for and integrate sustainable design practices within healthcare projects, promoting energy efficiency and environmentally responsible solutions.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in healthcare architecture, materials, and technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

• Address and resolve unexpected design or construction challenges specific to healthcare facilities, employing problem-solving skills and resourcefulness to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; Master’s degree is preferred.

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant architectural experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed healthcare projects, preferably within the UAE.

• Licensed Architect in the UAE or relevant certification is highly desirable.

• Proficient in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and building information modeling (BIM).

• Strong design sensibility, excellent project management abilities, and effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to lead and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in the UAE, along with an understanding of cultural considerations in healthcare design.
