## Description

Al Safadi is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie – Arabic Sweets to lead the preparation and production of traditional and specialty Arabic sweets within our Central Kitchen. This role is central to preserving the authentic taste and craftsmanship behind our Kunafa, Baklawa, Ma'amoul, and other signature sweets, served across Al Safadi Restaurants, Oventine, and Table 25. Success in this role looks like consistent, high-quality output across all outlets, a well-run and organized section, and junior team members who are effectively trained and supported. This position reports to the Head Chef and plays a key part in upholding Al Safadi's culinary standards and heritage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present traditional Arabic sweets to consistent quality, taste, and presentation standards.

• Set up and maintain the Arabic Sweets section, ensuring all mise en place is ready ahead of daily production.

• Follow standardized recipes and portioning guidelines to maintain consistency across all outlets.

• Monitor ingredient stock levels for the section and raise requisitions in line with production needs.

• Ensure all products are prepared, handled, and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

• Guide and train junior kitchen staff within the section, providing hands-on technical direction.

• Coordinate with the Head Chef on daily production planning, special orders, and seasonal menu items.

• Monitor food cost and minimize waste through proper handling, storage, and portion control.

• Contribute to new recipe development and trials for Arabic sweets as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience preparing Arabic sweets, ideally within a hotel, restaurant, or central production kitchen.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of traditional Arabic sweets recipes, techniques, and regional variations.

• Basic food safety / HACCP certification.

• Diploma or vocational certificate in Culinary Arts, Pastry, or Bakery preferred.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
