Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in an accounting consultancy firm and be capable of independently managing a high volume of client files and accounting assignments. This role requires someone who is confident in dealing directly with clients, conducting client meetings independently, and taking ownership of their work with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently manage a large portfolio of client files and accounting assignments

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for multiple clients

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, reconciliations and other accounting records

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities

• Prepare and assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

• Conduct client meetings independently and address clients' accounting-related queries

• Communicate directly with clients and maintain strong professional relationships

• Review client accounts and identify discrepancies or accounting issues

• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• Ensure all client files and documentation are properly maintained and up to date

• Take full ownership of assigned clients and responsibilities

• Work independently with minimal supervision

• Coordinate with internal team members when required

• Assist clients with accounting and financial matters and provide practical solutions where appropriate

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting consultancy firm in India, OR

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting consultancy firm in Dubai

• Proven experience managing multiple clients and a high volume of files

• Ability to independently manage client accounts from start to finish

• Strong ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload

• Confident in conducting client meetings independently

• Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping

• Knowledge of VAT and accounting practices is highly preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

• Good organizational and time-management skills

Qualifications

Professional qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Candidates with the following qualifications will have an advantage:

• CA Inter

• ACCA

• Other relevant accounting qualifications or certifications

However, candidates with strong and relevant accounting consultancy experience will be considered even without a professional qualification.

Please note: Candidates without relevant accounting consultancy firm experience will not be considered.
