For our site office in Dubai, we are looking for Architect (Finishes & Interiors) - 100% (m/f) The Ideal Candidate will have strong architectural review and coordination experience across finishes, interiors, fit-out, specialty flooring, partitions, ceilings, joinery, wall finishes, sanitaryware, and related architectural packages. The role requires a methodical architectural reviewer who can manage high-volume shop drawing and material submittal reviews, coordinate mock-ups and sample approvals, resolve interfaces with MEP, structure, fire life safety, BIM, site, and contractor teams, and communicate clearly with clients, consultants, and specialist subcontractors. Airport, aviation, or large industrial facilities experience is preferred. Responsibilities: • Review and comment on architectural finishes, interior fit-out, specialty flooring, partitions, ceilings, joinery, wall finishes, sanitaryware, and related shop drawings and submittals. • Review heavy-duty resin, epoxy, anti-static, slip-resistant, chemical-resistant, fuel-resistant, and other specialist floor finishes where required. • Check substrate preparation requirements, moisture limits, flatness/levelness criteria, joint detailing, cove detailing, thresholds, movement joints, and interface details. • Coordinate architectural finishes and interiors with structure, MEP, fire life safety, facade, specialist equipment, BIM, and site teams. • Review mock-ups, benchmark samples, material submissions, finish schedules, room data, sample boards, and technical compliance documentation. • Support inspection readiness for architectural benchmarks, sample areas, installation sequencing, snagging, and close-out of finishes-related technical actions. • Identify interface conflicts, missing information, inconsistent details, and constructability concerns affecting architectural and fit-out packages. • Track finishes submittals, review comments, RFIs, technical queries, sample approvals, and outstanding close-out actions. • Participate in design reviews, fit-out coordination meetings, mock-up inspections, technical workshops, and contractor/subcontractor/client coordination sessions. • Prepare clear review comments and technical correspondence that are accurate, traceable, and aligned with project specifications and standards. • Support quality control by maintaining consistent architectural review standards and disciplined documentation of decisions and approvals. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Architecture, Interior Engineering, or a related discipline. • Minimum 7 years of experience in architecture, architectural engineering, interiors, or fit-out coordination on large building, industrial, transport, or infrastructure projects. • Minimum 4 years of experience reviewing architectural finishes and interior fit-out shop drawings or technical submittals is preferred. • Strong working competence across partitions, ceilings, joinery, wall finishes, sanitaryware, interior fit-out packages, and finish schedules. • Experience with specialist industrial flooring systems, resin/epoxy finishes, chemical/fuel resistance, anti-static requirements, slip resistance, joint detailing, and substrate criteria is an advantage. • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, CDE platforms, and common document-review tools. • Airport, aviation, large industrial, hospitality, transport, or major building project experience is preferred. • Prior exposure to EPC contractor environments or contractor-side submittal review workflows is an advantage. • Professional registration or membership with a recognised architectural body is preferred. • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate professionally with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal discipline teams. • Fluent written and spoken English for review comments, submittal correspondence, client-facing coordination, and technical meetings; Arabic is an advantage.
