## Description

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, project/job costing, UAE statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger, journal entries, trial balance, and supporting schedules.

• Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable, including invoice verification, reconciliations, collections, and supplier/customer statements.

• Handle project/job costing for Mechanical, Electrical, and AMC projects; track revenue, expenses, budgets, and profitability.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and support cash-flow, LC, and bank guarantee requirements.

• Prepare UAE VAT returns and maintain FTA records; support Corporate Tax and other statutory compliance.

• Support month-end/year-end closing, P&L, balance sheet schedules, variance analysis, and MIS reporting.

• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.

• Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor queries, and support internal controls.

• Guide and review Junior Accountants / Accounts Assistants and support process improvements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in Electromechanical, MEP, Interior Fit-out, Construction, or Contracting companies.

• Must have experience working in a project-based business environment.

• Strong experience in project/job costing, project-wise P&L, budget vs. actual, revenue and expense tracking, and cost allocation.

• UAE experience with VAT, Corporate Tax, month-end closing, AP/AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and audit is preferred.

• Experience coordinating with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement and Operations teams is an advantage.
