Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your extensive expertise in cost management, contract administration, and project delivery to drive successful outcomes on complex construction and infrastructure projects. As a senior professional, you'll receive minimal instruction on routine work and will independently manage diverse, high-scope assignments while mentoring junior team members and collaborating across departments to ensure project excellence.

• Conduct comprehensive quantity surveying assessments and cost analyses for construction and infrastructure projects, utilizing advanced surveying instruments and electronic distance-measuring equipment

• Operate and manage specialized quantity surveying software systems and land-information platforms, including data storage, retrieval, analysis, and report generation

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts; analyze project costs and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements

• Review and verify measurement data from project teams regarding distances, directions, angles, elevations, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Conduct thorough research of legal records, contracts, and project documentation to analyze data and determine project scope, boundaries, and deliverables

• Prepare comprehensive plots, maps, reports, and documentation; verify data accuracy and maintain meticulous records of all surveying activities and findings

• Administer contracts and manage variations, claims, and disputes with transparency and professionalism; ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements

• Assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations to stakeholders to support informed decision-making

• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors and support team members; foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment

• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities; communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally

• Stay current with UAE construction standards, regulations, and industry best practices; ensure all work adheres to local requirements and international standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with substantial experience on infrastructure, construction, and large-scale projects

• Professional certification from recognized bodies such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), AIQS (Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors), or equivalent

• Proven experience with project approval processes and regulatory compliance in the UAE or similar jurisdictions

• Advanced proficiency with quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, specialized QS programs)

• Strong expertise in cost estimation, budget management, financial forecasting, and cost control

• Demonstrated knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and commercial management

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Proficiency in data management, analysis, and report generation using computer systems and databases

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience mentoring junior professionals

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear, professional reports and presentations

• Solid understanding of UAE construction standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment

• Preferred: Experience with RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) projects or similar government infrastructure initiatives
