Role Description

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer with strong experience in sourcing and purchasing finishing materials for construction and fit-out projects. The role requires technical understanding, supplier management, and cost control to ensure timely and quality procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of finishing materials such as tiles, marble, gypsum, joinery, lighting, paint, glass, and FF&E items

• Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications to identify material requirements

• Source and evaluate suppliers locally and internationally

• Obtain quotations, perform technical & commercial comparisons, and prepare LPOs

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules

• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and quality standards

• Coordinate with site, design, and project teams for approvals and material submittals

• Track deliveries and ensure on-time supply to avoid project delays

• Maintain procurement records, cost reports, and supplier database

• Handle variation orders and urgent procurement requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction Management

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement within construction or fit-out projects

• Strong experience specifically in finishing materials procurement (MANDATORY)

• Knowledge of UAE supplier market and materials

• Familiarity with BOQ analysis, ERP systems, and procurement software

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and material approvals
