Job Description – Business Analyst (Corporate Banking – AI/ML Focus)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary

BigTapp is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong Corporate Banking expertise to support AI/ML-driven transformation initiatives for a leading banking client in Abu Dhabi. The role will act as a bridge between senior banking stakeholders and BigTapp’s Data Engineering and Data Science teams. The candidate will work closely with Corporate & Institutional Banking teams to identify business challenges, define AI/ML use cases, and translate business requirements into structured functional specifications and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong Corporate Banking domain expertise, stakeholder management capabilities, and a good understanding of AI/ML concepts and banking analytics.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Corporate Banking with exposure to Lending, Trade Finance, Cash Management, Treasury, Risk Management, and Relationship Management

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Banking Analytics, enterprise transformation programs, and AI/ML-driven initiatives

• Strong understanding of Banking KPIs such as NIM, RWA, CLV, profitability metrics, and corporate banking customer lifecycle

• Experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder workshops, BRD/FSD preparation, functional documentation, and UAT coordination

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, Data Science collaboration models, and banking systems/data infrastructure

• Strong understanding of UAE/GCC banking landscape and regulatory environment preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Corporate Banking stakeholders to identify business pain points and AI/ML opportunities

• Translate business requirements into analytical use cases and functional specifications for Data Science and Engineering teams

• Define AI/ML use cases including Churn Prediction, Credit Risk Scoring, Revenue Forecasting, Fraud Detection, Profitability Optimization, and Next Best Action models

• Create structured Use Case Blueprints including data requirements, business constraints, KPIs, and success metrics

• Act as the primary liaison between client business teams and BigTapp delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle

• Support UAT activities and ensure AI/ML solutions align with business expectations and operational workflows

• Present analytical insights, progress updates, and recommendations to senior banking stakeholders

• Monitor post-deployment model performance and recommend business-driven improvements

• Ensure compliance with banking governance, regulatory, and operational standards

Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field

• Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP) or AI/Data Science fundamentals are an added advantage

• Prior experience working with UAE/GCC banking clients and digital transformation programs preferred
