## Description

About the Role

Our client, an established insurance company in the UAE, is looking for a senior business development leader to take ownership of its agency and direct sales function. You'll report straight to the CEO and carry real accountability for growing the client book while running a team of Account Executives.

What You'll Do

This is a portfolio-owner role first and foremost — you'll be the one building and protecting client relationships, chasing new business, and making the calls on policy documentation day to day. On the people side, you'll set the standard for the team: coaching underperformers up, keeping workflow moving, and making sure recruitment keeps pace with growth. You'll also be the internal voice on regulation — flagging what's changing in the market, keeping the business ahead of compliance requirements, and spotting conflicts of interest before they become problems. Clean reporting and solid MI will be expected of you as a matter of course.

What We're Looking For

• A decade or more inside insurance or broking — this isn't a role for someone newer to the industry

• ACII or FCII strongly preferred; a university degree is a baseline

• A genuine book of business you've built or grown, not just managed

• Experience actually leading people — not just working alongside a team

• Comfortable talking regulation fluently: TOBA, AML, Treating Customers Fairly, data protection

• Based in the UAE, or ready to move for the right role
