Arabic-Speaking Data Platform Business Analyst

Dubai, UAE | Initial 6-Month Contract | Immediate Start Preferred

Are you an experienced Arabic-speaking Business Analyst with a strong understanding of enterprise data platforms, data operations and Agile delivery?

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a high-profile digital transformation programme, working closely with business stakeholders, data teams and engineering functions to help deliver and optimise a modern enterprise data platform. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale programme within a complex enterprise environment.

Candidates must be fluent in both Arabic and English and be available to start at short notice.

The Role

As the Business Analyst, you will act as the key link between business users, data platform teams and governance functions, ensuring business requirements are translated into clear deliverables while supporting the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the data platform.

You will work across multiple stakeholders to understand business needs, improve operational processes, support data quality initiatives and help ensure successful Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Data Engineering teams, platform operations and governance functions.

• Engage with business users and data owners to understand business objectives, operational challenges and data requirements.

• Gather, analyse and document both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Develop process flows, business workflows and documentation to support delivery.

• Understand and analyse the complete data lifecycle including:

• Data ingestion

• Data storage

• Data transformation

• Data governance

• Data consumption

• Work alongside Data Engineering teams to support smooth operation of enterprise data pipelines.

• Monitor and help resolve data quality, completeness and consistency issues.

• Support operational incident management, investigation and root cause analysis for data-related issues.

• Produce operational dashboards, reports and status updates for business stakeholders and leadership teams.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and cross-functional delivery teams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement.

• Help drive continuous improvement across business processes and platform operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluent Arabic and English communication skills (mandatory).

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on enterprise data or analytics platforms.

• Strong understanding of data platform operations and enterprise data environments.

• Experience gathering, documenting and managing business and technical requirements.

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle.

• Experience working closely with business stakeholders, data owners and technical delivery teams.

• Knowledge of data quality, data governance and operational data management.

• Experience supporting data-related operational issues and incident management.

• Ability to create:

• User Stories

• Acceptance Criteria

• Business Process Maps

• Process Flow Diagrams

• Functional Specifications

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence or similar Agile tooling would be advantageous.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on enterprise cloud data platforms.

• Exposure to modern Data Engineering environments.

• Understanding of data governance frameworks and operational controls.

• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes.

• Experience working within government, public sector or large enterprise organisations.

Contract Details

• Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site/Hybrid depending on project requirements)

• Contract: Initial 6 months with strong likelihood of extension

• Start Date: ASAP / Immediate starters preferred
