Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer – MEP (Civil Experience Required)

Location: Business Bay, UAE

Experience: 10+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer – MEP with a strong background in both MEP and Civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for large-scale construction projects. The role requires expertise in developing project schedules, tracking progress, managing project controls, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

• Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules as required.

• Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations, delays, and critical path impacts.

• Coordinate with MEP, Civil, QA/QC, Procurement, and Site teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.

• Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend corrective actions to minimize delays.

• Review subcontractor schedules and monitor their progress against project timelines.

• Analyze productivity, resource allocation, and project performance.

• Participate in project planning meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company standards.

• Support project management in forecasting project completion and resource requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 8–15 years of planning and scheduling experience in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, power, or industrial projects.

• Strong knowledge of project planning principles and project controls.

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project and advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to prepare and analyze project schedules, cash flow, manpower histograms, and S-curves.

• Strong understanding of project planning methodologies, critical path analysis, and earned value management.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

• Experience working on high-rise, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
