A qualified graduate engineer in Civil/Structural Engineering.  Master's Degree/Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural construction. Business Development Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues. Project Role • • Works independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned.  • Review structural shop drawings, Calculations,  and method statements.  • Review the comments provided by inspectors for inspections of reinforcement placement, formwork, concrete pouring, and structural steel works etc.  • Identify and resolve structural design issues and provide practical engineering solutions. • Conduct site inspections when needed to ensure construction complies with approved designs. • Review RFIs and provide responses.  • Ensure compliance with international codes , Authority standards and project specifications.  • Review of Authority inspections prior to calling Authority engineer for inspections  • Monitor construction works to ensure design intent is achieved in the construction phase to the minimum requirements required by approving authorities as the Local Consultant for the project.  • Ability to manage the design and construction stages of a project. • Ability to supervise a small team of engineers and technicians. • Role will normally be as Project Engineer on projects of various sizes.  On major/more complex projects could take the role of a Design Engineer. • Be responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager. • Prepare client/project proposals. • Attend weekly site progress meeting  • Collaborates/communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities.  • Supports inspection team to resolve any site activity issues.  • Adopts creative and innovative solutions to site problems/clashes and develops appropriate supportive technical documentation/research reports.  • Coordinates with AOR design team regarding specialist’s packages approvals by authorities.  • Informing and discussing design change decisions with colleagues to ensure project requirements are met.  • Reviews contractor variation orders in regarding structural/civil activities  • Achieve 95% chargeable time. • Should have sound knowledge of design software such as Etabs, Staad pro, Safe. QHSE Responsibilities • Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies. • Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace. • Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE. • Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required. • Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
