Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical

Department: Commercial

Reports To

Commercial Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor will manage all commercial and contractual activities related to Mechanical MEP works including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, LPG, Fuel Systems, and Infrastructure Utilities.

The role involves quantity surveying, cost management, contract administration, variation management, and commercial reporting for major MEP projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuantity Surveying & Measurement

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

• Review BOQs and verify quantities.

• Measure completed Mechanical works.

• Prepare interim payment applications.

• Conduct material reconciliation.

Commercial Management

• Prepare variation orders and claims.

• Manage subcontractor measurements and payments.

• Review subcontract agreements.

• Support final account preparation.

• Monitor project costs and profitability.

Contract Administration

• Interpret contract requirements.

• Manage FIDIC-based contractual obligations.

• Support commercial negotiations with clients and contractors.

• Maintain proper commercial documentation.

Tender & Procurement Support

• Review tender documents.

• Support estimation and pricing activities.

• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Provide commercial input during procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 10-15 years UAE MEP contracting experience.

• Minimum 5 years as Senior Mechanical QS.

• Experience in:
