## Description

Hiring: Legal Counsel | Abu Dhabi, UAE

WTS Energy is recruiting on behalf of a leading EPC company based in Abu Dhabi for an experienced Legal Counsel.

We are seeking a commercially focused legal professional with strong in-house experience in the Oil & Gas and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) sectors to provide legal support across corporate, commercial, and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on corporate, commercial, and operational matters across the business.

• Manage corporate governance activities, including company formations, restructurings, board and shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and statutory compliance.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and legal documentation.

• Identify and mitigate legal risks while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Manage and coordinate external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions.

• Support litigation, arbitration, claims, investigations, and other dispute resolution matters.

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports, and management briefings.

• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business and recommend appropriate actions.

• Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders on legal and corporate matters.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide commercially driven legal solutions that support business objectives.

Requirements

• LL.B. from a recognized university (mandatory).

• Minimum 7–8 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in an in-house Legal Counsel role.

• Mandatory experience within the Oil & Gas, EPC, or related industries.

• Strong background in corporate governance, commercial contracts, litigation, arbitration, and management of external legal counsel.

• GCC experience is highly desirable.

• Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

• French language skills are an advantage.
