## Description

Senior Business Development Specialist

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary:

The Senior Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion within the domestic defense sector. This role focuses on managing the full bid lifecycle, building client relationships, and executing business development strategies across key domains such as Platforms & Systems, Missiles & Weapons, and Space & Cyber . You will act as a subject matter expert and independent contributor on complex bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with growth targets .

• Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification and qualification, through capture planning and proposal development, to contract award and negotiation .

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities .

• Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality, customer-focused proposals and presentations .

• Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and track defense procurement trends .

• Develop and maintain relationships with key government entities and stakeholders .

• Contribute to bid strategy, pricing inputs, and commercial risk assessments .

• Collaborate with technical, product, and commercial teams to align solutions with client needs .

• Mentor and guide junior team members .

• Track opportunity progress, pipeline status, and provide regular reporting updates .

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field .

• 5–8 years of experience in business development, proposals, or commercial roles, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or engineering sectors .

• Proven track record of supporting or leading competitive bids and winning contracts .

• Deep understanding of defense market dynamics and procurement processes .

• Experience in contract negotiation and commercial risk management.
