## Description

Senior Software Engineer – AI Systems | AI-Native Startup | £100k + Equity | Remote UAE

I'm working with a VC-backed AI-native startup building production software for legal and professional services teams.

They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has evolved their engineering workflow around AI tools, someone who uses tools like Claude Code, Codex or Cursor every day to improve planning, problem-solving, implementation speed and delivery quality.

This is not an AI research role and it is not a role for someone who has only experimented with LLMs. They are looking for a strong software engineer first: someone who can design, build, debug and operate production systems end-to-end while using AI as a genuine force multiplier.

The team is small, highly technical and operates like a true early-stage startup. Engineers own problems from initial idea through production, customer feedback and iteration.

What they’re looking for:

• 7+ years software engineering experience

• Strong Python backend experience (FastAPI preferred)

• Early-stage startup experience (essential)

• Experience owning features from design through deployment and production

• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems and reliability

• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.)

• Ability to use AI tools for planning, architecture, debugging and delivery — not just code generation

• Strong product mindset and ownership mentality

You’ll work on:

• Production AI systems including LLM agents, RAG and document intelligence

• Python/FastAPI backend services

• TypeScript/React product features

• Async workflows, queues, integrations and distributed systems

• Production debugging, observability and reliability

Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Azure, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, LLM agents, RAG, OpenTelemetry
