## Description

1. Professional Profile / Position Purpose
A practical multi-discipline design resource able to support AAHG’s active projects by producing architectural drawings and coordinated Revit/AutoCAD outputs, maintaining disciplined revision control, preparing submission and presentation packages, and supporting cost estimation, benchmarking, value engineering and material research. The role is intended as an interim consolidated position for one capable person to cover architecture production, drafting accuracy, cost awareness and material comparison support under management direction.
2. Core ResponsibilitiesA. Architectural Design Documentation & Production
· Prepare architectural drawings, details, schedules, layouts, sections, elevations and model content across project stages.

· Translate design intent, sketches, comments and mark-ups into coordinated Revit / AutoCAD outputs with correct dimensions, annotations, tags and references.

· Support preparation of drawing packs, presentation materials, submission binders and management review packages.

· Ensure design consistency with project briefs, approved mark-ups, internal standards and authority requirements.
B. Drafting, Revision Control & Document Discipline
· Maintain high-accuracy CAD/Revit production, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules and drawing set compilation.

· Apply AAHG layering, annotation, plotting, naming, folder and filing standards.

· Maintain strict revision control, including revision clouds, numbering, drawing registers and superseded archives.

· Coordinate with the Document Controller to ensure only the latest approved drawings are issued and archived.
C. Design Coordination & Technical Support
· Coordinate with MEP, Structural and internal design teams to identify inconsistencies, resolve basic clashes and update drawings accordingly.

· Support RFIs, consultant queries and internal clarifications through technical sketches, marked-up drawings and written comments.

· Escalate conflicting instructions, missing information, compliance concerns or cost-sensitive issues before issuance.

· Attend coordination meetings when required and maintain clear action follow-up related to assigned drawings and cost/material items.
D. Cost Estimation, Benchmarking & Budget Support
· Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates by trade and design package based on drawings, specifications and UAE market rates.

· Maintain cost plans, estimate registers and cost breakdowns as the design develops.

· Benchmark consultant estimates against internal references, supplier inputs and market trends; flag major variances and cost drivers early.

· Prepare cost variance summaries and support management briefing notes for budget alignment.
E. Value Engineering & Material Research
· Research alternative materials and systems based on performance, durability, availability, lead time, maintenance impact and cost-benefit.

· Prepare material comparison matrices, supplier/product data sheets and recommendation summaries for review.

· Support VE exercises by quantifying savings, identifying risks and documenting pros, cons and performance impacts.

· Coordinate with design leads to ensure approved VE and material changes are reflected in drawings, specifications and registers.
F. Quality, Compliance & Reporting
· Perform self-checks before issuing drawings, estimates, comparison sheets or presentation documents.

· Support authority submission packages by preparing layouts, legends, notes, schedules and drawing sets as directed.

· Maintain drawing logs, cost estimate registers, VE logs, material comparison records and weekly task updates.

· Contribute to improvement of templates, checklists, typical details, cost databases and material libraries.
3. Key Deliverables / Outputs
· Architectural drawings, details, schedules and coordinated Revit/AutoCAD model outputs per assigned scope.

· Compiled drawing packages for internal review, consultant coordination, authority submission, tender or IFC support.

· Updated drawing registers, revision records and properly archived superseded issues.

· Trade-wise cost estimates, budget support sheets and cost variance summaries.

· Benchmarking database updates, supplier references and market rate comparisons.

· VE logs, validated savings calculations and material cost/performance comparison matrices.

· Presentation boards, submission binders, management briefing notes and weekly progress updates.
4. Decision-Making Authority
· Prepare and update drawings, cost sheets and material comparison documents under supervision.

· Issue draft cost review comments, benchmarking findings and material comparison inputs for management review.

· Recommend VE and material alternatives with clear savings, limitations and technical impacts.

· Stop and escalate when conflicting instructions, missing data, outdated revisions or unsupported cost claims are identified.

· Request substantiation for unverified cost assumptions, material claims or savings calculations before inclusion in official records.
