Position: Junior Accountant

Job Overview

First Milestone Technology Company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Junior Accountant** to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the finance department in ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an early-career accounting professional seeking to build a strong foundation in corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and accounting documentation.

* Prepare journal entries and support the maintenance of the general ledger.

* Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.

* Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash transactions.

* Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

* Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

* Verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests for accuracy.

* Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.

* Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable accounting standards.

* Maintain organized filing systems for financial records and supporting documents.

* Coordinate with internal departments regarding finance-related matters.

* Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

* 0–1 years of accounting or finance experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).

* Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.

* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
