POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Lecturer, reporting to the Head of School, is responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning experiences in finance-related disciplines, fostering analytical thinking, financial acumen, and practical problem‑solving skills among students. The role involves delivering engaging curricula, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback while remaining current with financial markets, industry practices, and regulatory developments. The Finance Lecturer contributes to academic scholarship, curriculum enhancement, and collaborative initiatives, supporting the institution’s mission to prepare graduates for professional success and lifelong learning in the finance and business sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver engaging teaching across lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions, ensuring high-quality learning outcomes.

• Design, administer, and assess a range of academic tasks, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student success.

• Mentor and support students through academic advising, fostering engagement, progression, and career readiness.

• Drive improvements in teaching quality, student experience, and employability through innovative and industry-linked initiatives.

• Contribute to research, industry collaboration, and community engagement while supporting academic program development and promotion.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• A doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related field.

• Is AACSB compliant by contributing to a range of recognised scholarly and professional activities.

• Successful teaching experience with 3-5 years of experience and demonstrate teaching excellence and effectiveness at Undergraduate and Post Graduate Levels.

• Demonstrated high quality experience in teaching and/or industry and evidence of continuing personal and professional development.

• Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with students in a variety of learning contexts.

• Experience of working with a diverse range of students.

• Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
