## Description

About the Company

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, extensive ERP experience, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial closings, reconciliations, and management reporting. The role reports directly to the VP Finance and requires minimal supervision.

About the Role

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial schedules, and analytical reports for senior management.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

Responsibilities

Reconciliations & Controls

• Perform timely reconciliations of:

• Bank accounts

• Customer receivables

• Supplier payables

• Inventory accounts

• Intercompany balances

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures.

ERP & Process Management

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions within the ERP system.

• Utilize ERP systems effectively to streamline financial processes and reporting.

• Support system improvements and process optimization initiatives.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Assist with VAT accounting, reconciliations, and statutory filing requirements.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with operations, procurement, sales, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Support ad hoc finance projects, reporting requests, and business analysis as required by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Experience working with ERP systems such as: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central,

Microsoft Dynamics NAV,SAP, Oracle

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience within trading, distribution, or similar commercial environments.

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA Inter, or equivalent.
