## Description

POSITION TITLE: Site Engineer

REPORTS TO: Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: To oversee the on-site activities for projects, manage construction operations, and ensure that plans and specifications are accurately implemented. They are responsible for coordinating with the team, resolving technical issues, and monitoring progress to ensure successful project execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure they align with quality standards and project plans

• Maintain communication with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers to build relationships

• Determine and present estimates of operational costs

• Ability to prepare RFPs, BOQs.

• Compile and present reports explaining project details to non-technical stakeholders

• Assist with cost tracking and financial reporting on the selection of works to avoid budget overruns.

• Complete and maintain detailed records of construction activities, budgets, materials and any changes made to project plans

• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes

• Ensure all work conducted meet regulations and industry standards

• Monitor and report on the progress of construction activities

PREREQUISITES:

• Previous experience with Hardscape and Landscape project. Including but not limited to Interlock work is required.

• Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software

• Locally-issued certification or engineering license

• A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills

• Have a good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering construction techniques

• Ability to form strong relationships with vendors and contractors

EDUCATION:

• Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English.

• Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Civil Engineering or equivalent university degree.

EXPERIENCE:

With a minimum of 7-10 years experiences in a similar capacity.
