## Description

Role Summary

The Finance & Commercial Manager will lead financial planning, commercial analysis, governance, and project finance activities within the energy sector. The role will focus on financial modelling for Solar PV projects, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, contract evaluation, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial models for Solar PV and energy projects, including feasibility studies, tariff modelling, and investment evaluations.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and medium-term business planning processes.

• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

• Prepare management reports and financial presentations for leadership teams.

• Monitor cash flow, forex exposure, banking facilities, and working capital requirements.

• Support project financing, due diligence, financial structuring, and risk assessments.

• Manage VAT and UAE Corporate Tax compliance requirements.

• Oversee revenue recognition, WIP reporting, cost-to-complete reviews, job costing, and project profitability analysis.

• Strengthen project cash flow management, collections, retention monitoring, and supplier payment planning.

• Support commercial negotiations with customers, vendors, OEMs, and financial institutions.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of finance and commercial experience

• At least 5 years within the energy, power, renewable energy, or contracting sectors is essential

• Proven experience in financial modelling, project finance, and commercial evaluation

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of financial management, project finance, and commercial operations.

• Experience with project accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and cash flow forecasting.

• Proficiency in SAP FICO; knowledge of MM and SD modules preferred.

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.

• Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
