Role Overview:
To manage the Business Banking portfolio and project management framework by governing prioritisation, delivery tracking, stakeholder alignment, benefits realisation and executive reporting across strategic enablement initiatives in order to support disciplined execution, informed decision-making and sustainable delivery of Business Banking outcomes
In this role, your key responsibilities include
:
Manage the Business Banking project portfolio governance framework by defining portfolio priorities, delivery standards, decision forums and reporting routines to ensure strategic initiatives are planned, monitored and delivered in line with business objectives
Maintain portfolio visibility across initiatives, dependencies, risks and benefits to support transparent prioritisation, disciplined execution and timely management action
Lead the planning, coordination and delivery oversight of Business Banking enablement projects by translating business priorities into structured delivery plans, milestone tracking and dependency management across relevant stakeholders
Exercise delivery judgement to identify risks, resolve issues, escalate material blockers and ensure project outcomes support agreed business, customer, productivity and control objectives
Establish and manage prioritisation and benefits tracking mechanisms across the Business Banking project portfolio to ensure resources, effort and delivery focus are aligned to the highest-value business outcomes
Monitor expected and realised benefits, assess delivery effectiveness and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders on portfolio trade-offs, sequencing and corrective actions
Manage Project Management Office governance for Business Banking enablement initiatives, including project documentation, governance forums, action tracking, delivery cadence and management reporting to ensure consistency and accountability across the portfolio
Embed structured controls over project status, change requests, risks, issues and decisions to strengthen execution discipline and ensure senior management has accurate and decision-useful information
Manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement across Business Banking, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations and other support functions to align requirements, resolve dependencies and maintain delivery momentum
Act as a central coordination point for portfolio and project matters to ensure business expectations, delivery constraints, risk considerations and implementation timelines are clearly understood and managed
Develop and govern portfolio reporting, dashboards and executive updates to provide accurate insight on project status, milestones, risks, decisions, dependencies and benefits across Business Banking initiatives
Ensure reporting outputs are consistent, evidence-based and aligned to management information standards so that senior stakeholders can monitor execution progress and take informed decisions
Manage project-related risk, control and issue tracking across the Business Banking portfolio by ensuring risks are identified, assessed, escalated and remediated in coordination with relevant control functions
Support delivery within the Bank’s governance, compliance and operational risk expectations by embedding clear ownership, preventive actions and follow-up mechanisms across projects
Identify opportunities to improve portfolio governance, delivery practices, reporting standards and project management disciplines across Business Banking enablement
Implement practical improvements that enhance transparency, reduce duplication, strengthen accountability and support sustainable delivery of strategic and operational outcomes
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
At least 7 years of experience in Banking, Business Enablement, Portfolio Management, Project Management or transformation Delivery within Banking or Financial Services
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Project Management or a related discipline
