Hiring company: AHQ - Admin Division

Job Summary:
The Proposal Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the
Sales Team by preparing
high-quality technical and commercial proposals
for water treatment chemicals and related solutions. The role directly
contributes to
securing new projects, tenders, and long-term contracts
for Al-Jazira
Water
Chemicals Processing Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal & Tender Management
·
Prepare
technical
and commercial proposals
in response to RFQs, RFPs, and tenders.
·
Review tender documents,
specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
·
Coordinate with sales,
production, procurement, QA/QC, and logistics teams to gather required
inputs.
·
Ensure proposals are
accurate,
compliant, competitive, and submitted on time
Technical Support to Sales
·
Provide technical
clarification and product selection support to the sales team.
·
Customize solutions for
water treatment chemicals (e.g., industrial water, wastewater, RO, cooling
towers, boilers, etc.).
·
Assist sales during
client
meetings, technical discussions, and negotiations
when required.
Costing & Commercial Analysis
·
Prepare cost estimates,
pricing models, and margin analysis.
·
Work closely with
procurement and production to ensure realistic and profitable pricing.
·
Identify cost-saving
opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
Documentation & Compliance
·
Prepare technical
datasheets, method statements, compliance matrices, and clarifications.
·
Ensure proposals comply
with client, regulatory, and internal standards.
·
Maintain an organized
database of proposals, tenders, and standard templates.
Continuous Improvement
·
Analyze won/lost bids and
provide feedback to improve future proposals.
·
Support development of
standard proposal formats, technical libraries, and best practices
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Education
: Bachelor’s degree in chemical
engineering
, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering
,
or related field.
good
command in AutoCAD would be an advantage
Experience:
-
3–7 years
of experience as a Proposal Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar
role.
- Proven
experience in
water treatment chemicals, industrial chemicals, or process
industries
is highly preferred.
Leadership:
Strong
Experience as a Proposal Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar role.
Expertise: Strong background in
tendering for industrial plants, utilities, or EPC clients.
Skills:
· Strong understanding of
water treatment
processes and chemicals
.
· Excellent technical writing
and proposal preparation skills.
· Commercial awareness and
pricing strategy understanding.
· Ability to work under tight
deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
·
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP experience is a plus.
·
Strong communication skills in
English
(Arabic is an
advantage).
·
Strong skills in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce precise engineering
drawings and detailed construction plans.

## Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or related field. 3–7 years of experience as a Proposal Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar role. Proven experience in water treatment chemicals, industrial chemicals, or process industries is highly preferred.
