## Description

1. JOB PURPOSE: \u00B7 The Senior Rotating Equipment Technician is a subject matter expert in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement of high-value rotating assets such as turbines, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and auxiliary systems. The role demands an advanced technical skillset, predictive maintenance expertise, leadership, and the ability to work in high-risk, high-performance industrial environments to ensure continuous operational efficiency, safety, and equipment integrity. \u00B7 This position is critical to minimizing downtime, optimizing asset performance, and extending the lifecycle of key rotating machinery through advanced diagnostics, condition-based monitoring, and strict adherence to OEM and international standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC).

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific: Expert-Level Rotating Equipment Maintenance & Optimization \u00B7 Lead and execute complex troubleshooting, overhauls, and precision maintenance of gas turbines, centrifugal/reciprocating compressors, multistage pumps, high-speed motors, and auxiliary rotating systems. \u00B7 Conduct laser shaft alignment, dynamic balancing, and precision assembly to ensure optimal machine performance. \u00B7 Implement condition monitoring and predictive maintenance (PDM) using advanced vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasound, and thermographic inspection techniques. \u00B7 Troubleshoot sealing systems, lubrication systems, and bearing failures, ensuring long-term reliability. \u00B7 Work closely with reliability engineers to develop equipment failure mode analysis (FMEA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).

Compliance with International Standards & OEM Guidelines \u00B7 Ensure all maintenance and repair activities strictly comply with: \u00B7 API 610, API 671, API 618, API 619, API 686 (for pumps, compressors, and machinery installation) \u00B7 ISO 10816 & ISO 7919 (vibration analysis and machine condition monitoring) \u00B7 ASME, IEC, and NFPA standards for rotating equipment \u00B7 Ensure strict compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications, such as those from Siemens, GE, Solar Turbines, MAN, Waukesha, and Elliott. \u00B7 Interpret and apply engineering drawings, technical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical blueprints for accurate diagnostics and repairs.

\u00B7 Ensure all maintenance tasks are recorded in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Maximo, or Oracle EAM, maintaining traceable maintenance histories.

Advanced Reliability & Asset Performance Optimization \u00B7 Collaborate with reliability engineers and data analysts to develop predictive maintenance strategies, leveraging machine learning and AI-driven analytics for early failure detection. \u00B7 Optimize performance and reduce downtime by implementing real-time condition monitoring systems such as Bently Nevada, SKF, or Emerson AMS. \u00B7 Participate in rotating equipment failure investigations, using digital technology and historical data analysis to improve operational strategies. \u00B7 Lead the execution of retrofit, upgrade, and rerate projects to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability. \u00B7 Evaluate the latest advancements in coatings, seals, and lubrication technologies to reduce wear and increase mean time between failures (MTBF).

Generic: HSE Compliance & Risk Management \u00B7 Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies, implementing: \u00B7 Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems \u00B7 Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures \u00B7 Job hazard analysis (JHA) and risk assessments \u00B7 Confined space entry safety and hazardous energy control \u00B7 Conduct risk assessments for high-energy rotating machinery and implement mitigation plans to prevent catastrophic failures. \u00B7 Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments for critical rotating equipment. \u00B7 Ensure all tools, lifting equipment, and maintenance procedures comply with OSHA, NFPA, and IEC safety regulations.

Leadership, Training & Knowledge Transfer \u00B7 Lead and mentor junior technicians and maintenance teams, conducting hands-on training and technical workshops. \u00B7 Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and maintenance optimization strategies. \u00B7 Support the organization in achieving Operational Excellence (OE) and Continuous Improvement (CI) goals. \u00B7 Represent the company in technical audits, customer meetings, and vendor evaluations.

3. COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP: Internal: \u00B7 Regular contacts at own or next higher level in own and other departments to coordinate work and to seek or provide advice or information. \u00B7 Conduct regular meetings with team members to share information on incidents, findings and lesson learnt.

External: Regular contact with personnel with other section like Electrical, Control and workshop, for information and assistance

## Requirements

Advanced technical skillset in rotating equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement; experience with predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasound, thermography; strong knowledge of API, ISO, ASME, IEC standards; experience with CMMS (SAP, Maximo, Oracle EAM); ability to lead and mentor technicians; offshore/oil & gas environment experience is preferred.
