Beginning of the main content section.Return to the home pagePrintable Format Job Description - Senior Marine Projects Specialist (26003125)Job Description Senior Marine Projects Specialist - (26003125) Job Description Job Description:· Manage assigned marine projects, including the preparation of Terms of Reference (TORs), tender documents, project execution, and handover to the client, and develop and implement the projects’ administrative procedures in accordance with approved work procedures and policies.· Carry out engineering cost estimation, analysis, and monitoring activities; review and approve contractors’ payment requests and various invoices; negotiate and implement change orders and proposals; and prepare the original project budget to reflect approved changes and revisions.· Manage construction contracts by addressing variations and claims, and reviewing requests for extensions of time and cost compensation to which contractors may be entitled.· Make the necessary arrangements to form the relevant committees for the final handover of completed marine projects, facilitate the issuance of completion certificates to contractors, and evaluate the performance of consultants and contractors upon completion of projects.· Prepare annual financial budgets for marine projects and review related change orders and their financial and contractual impacts, in addition to preparing the wording of supplementary clauses and amendments to the relevant contracts.· Implement the site quality assurance program for construction and civil works, and ensure the application of quality assurance requirements in accordance with approved standards across all projects related to various sectors within Dubai Municipality.· Prepare periodic reports on completed works, highlighting challenges encountered and the corrective solutions implemented to address them.· Perform all assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Department’s approved information security and confidentiality policies and within the delegated authorities.· Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to the nature and scope of the position, as assigned.
